Job Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a segment of the merchandise assortment. Responsible for creating innovative product that supports the department’s vision. Responsibilities: •Seeks out and develops new and innovative product, packaging, treatments and technologies; •Initiates continuous product sourcing for international and domestic vendors to find resources to reduce cost of goods, minimum order quantities, and increase the flow of goods; •Partner and leverage the global sourcing office for economies of scale whenever possible; •Develops assortment plans and sku counts by department that will drive revenue while minimizing inventory risks; •Manages merchandise products by monitoring and managing product life cycles. Establishes product assortments to locations; •Partners with the Merchandise Assistant to address inventory liquidation; •Partners with Planning to monitor and maintain the category(s) financial plans; •Responsible for achieving the category(s) financial plans; •Responsible for training and development of Associate Buyer; •Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health
